No domingo fizemos queques.

2. Juntar os ovos e mexer com vigor.
3. Adicionar a farinha de alfarroba e a farinha normal.
4. Colocar as 10 colheres de sopa de leite e envolver tudo.
5.  Deitar a mistura nas formas.

Sunday we made cupcakes. Just because we wanted and because it was Sunday.
Basically, we invented this recipe, based on this site and another recipe of ours (recipe next time!)

Douro

January 20th, 2012

A few days ago we went to Douro country side. This part of Portugal is wonderful, we are privileged to have places so rich and so close to us.

This is the area known for its wines, in our walks we found Quinta da Pacheca, and we were passionate about a wine that we tasted. This climate is very particular so it gives the possibility to produce different varieties of grapes and therefore different wines.

We met the current owner –  the great great grandson of the founder  - who explained us that this wine has the inheritance of his family because it is composed of 12 varieties (most of these are already in disuse) which is the secret of this divine nectar.

into the abyss
A little deeper and she’ll lose the light. At first
the surface is just touchable – shadows that might be clouds
or birds in flight… She sets her face to the skim
to get the last of the world she came from, some slight
sense of voices fading as she slips
from almost-day to almost-night, grey-green shading
first to blue, then more than blue, then to a blue never seen
by anyone but her, and that slow drift into darkness set to sever
all that she owned or wanted, all she had ever been.

Conversa no tanque – Estúdio 2.2

December 21st, 2011

Last thursday we where in Braga invited by Conversas no Tanque at Velha-a-branca, to talk about our work.
We presented some of our projects and talked about the work process.
At one point , there was an overall electricity cutting from the street, and suddenly we were all in the dark ! Everyone instantly rearanjed the seats more closely and talked in the darkness.  We loved it!
