This is Derriere Restaurant in the Marais, Paris. They wanted to make the visitor ‘feel like home’, a place to eat a nice family meal, play ping-pong, read…a place to really live & enjoy…I’m a fan already! The only thing that could make me unconfortable here are these piles of books in the ‘ everything is falling out’ shelf. They sure are pretty but make my stomach swirl with an urge to organize them…
Could you have a shelf like this in your home ?

Last Saturday was the first ‘Feiras Francas’ at ‘Palácio das Artes’, a grey stormy day that soon became brightened in the Palace’s interiour, with so many eye candy everywhere. We were also there with some of our work, mostly illustration and furniture.

More unpretencious interiour photos! I really like this Paul Barbera’s fotos of creative studios all around the world, they feel so natural,  you can almost smell it.
It fits well with Apartamento Magazine ( as you may have noticed, one of my favourites ) and the Selby.

An old carpenter’s shop transformed into a house. These colour look so good, don’t they? Also love the vintage furniture and details everywhere.

By Liliana Ovalle.
A sofa based on the improvised furniture of the homeless in Mexico City.

I explored  the hectic historical centre of  Mexico City,  portraying scenarios of  improvisation and poverty  where people find the way of putting bits and rubbish together in order to compose functional everyday objects. The objects grow in what appears random and sometimes absurd compositions, following no planning or safety concerns.

Can you imagine this sofa in your living room? :)
